Unknown Waters Navigation: Running on Lake Atkins under high water, which is an idle lakes for bass boats, following a bream fisherman in a tin boat and sitting down when you figure out your out of your zone… because stumps are just under the water as you slip past them. He punched an 18″ gash in the 1/2″ (plus) thick hull right outside the pad when it sat down. Someone told him there were Florida Bass in Lake Atkins and he thought the directions of Idle Only were locals exaggerating. If you dont know where your going, idle there. Theres one small area on Atkins where you can really run a bass boat, and this wasnt that area. Rick came in on late Sunday night, unloaded his rig at home. The yellow arrow is the area where Adrian was running and this is under high water also. There are a lot of hidden obstacles.

Its nearly impossible to even idle where that arrow is. There are a few boat lanes but they arent marked and very narrow. I use to run the lanes but I dont anymore. The lake was maybe a foot low last year when I hit a stump idling in the lane leaving Lucky Landing. So no more running it for me. Thats great that Rick loaned his boat. No other company president would.
