Ring free test

I recently ran out of ring free and decided to do a test with other additives. I used several different brands, the most notable being sea foam. My conclusion– sea foam costs 3x more and they all sucked compaired to the ring free. My motor smokes more and I lost a bit of performance. I just ordered more ring free and Im not whining about the price anymore. Also, I saw the new Jag today–WOW!!

I really like Ring Free too. I have bee told that Carbon Guard, Ring Free, and the Mercury gas treatment are all the same chemical compounds placed in different bottles. Corky

Anyone running the new Marine Stabil…pretty sure Ring Free does nothing for Ethanol???

Im still running the regular Sta-bil. Only couple of stores have the marine version around here. When looking at the packaging the regular Sta-bil will tell you to double the dosing to get same results as the marine version. I use the combination of Quickleen and Sta-bil, but then I have an older EFI. I also use Pennzoil XLF(extended life formula) oil so I can still push the old Magnum EFI to 58-5900rpms. 95 model Mariner. BCB, I ran in to the new Jag in Conroe at the PAA tournament. We had a great time and beautiful weather. My wife was quick to note that I already have a Bass Cat but I still secretly want a new Jag–we all do. As for the ring free, it is rather economical compaired to many others. Plus I have an 02 yamaha with the dreaded O2 sensor. Ive benn told ring free will help lengthen the life of the sensors.

Ring Free prevents carbon build up and Stabil Blue protects against Ethanol treated gas. I read this in the Yamaha Motor forum at Bass Boat Central. These motors are expensive and I will spend the extra coin to protect my Yamaha 200 HPDI investment. The ratio is 1 oz to 10 gallons for both products when filling up at the pump. Flyswatter
