08 puma and my lights to both rod lockers quit. I assume they are connected somehow? All other lights work. Thaks for any advise

Heres a new twist…. I can run a wire from the ground and touch it to the aluminum block where the switch is housed and the lights come on. Ground issue or switch issue?

Yes, it is the bolts loosening in the hinges, where the grounds are attached. They loose a little bit of ground. You can check the bolts (screws) that the wires go to, and you will figure out which one is loose and causing problems. Retighten those screws that have settled. BCB

Problem solved. I ended up having to run the ground to a different set of hinges in order to get a good ground. But it solved it. Thanks BCB!

Retightening should have done it though were glad your fixed up.

Neither of my rod locker lights work. All of the other compartments work and have a ground wire right there in each compartment. The rod lockers only have the mercury switch to them, there is no visible ground like on the other compartments.. Are they using some other ground or a common one used on the other compartments? These are the last 2 I need to get working. I did not test the sockets or anything else. I would suspect that grounding is the issue.ThanksJohn
