If you have a insection hole on the passenger side then you can open it and see the distance there which should be about the same as the rod box. You might think about rivets since rough water might back them out or woller out the holes after time. Screws will be fine but you would need to check them often, also i thought of putting light holders in there and decided to go to the inboard side cause of this, and personnally i think that rivets would be more secure than screws. BCB will tell you the exact distance and you can make your decission on it. Good luck and let us know how it works. This is just for thought and not questioning your thoughts.
