You can fAst forward on the DVD Bama. I Got some valuable work done while listening to the truck radio, and then you can watch the whole thing in minutes vs. hours, without the passion and frustration of the moment. The highlights alone were enough. We just dont have the tools this year Bama. And I dont think you do either for the level of play we will see this year. No one has the dominance this year it seems as some had in years past. I really dont think Oklahoma does either. LSU I have not paid as much attention to and may be the dark horse everyone thinks they are. For The Hogs, I know we are shorted on the line some and have Freshmen linemen, Tyler Wilson is very good but developing and you danged sure didnt need those crimson jerseys for an obstacle course. Our corners and secondary are soft on pass defense in coverage, the LBs we have playing now may not have enough speed and the DE crew has some bright spots. Otherwise our “D” is not together and we missed JB as a leader, little ole Troy really showed that all last week. So dont count that Bama run game as solid yet.Our Offense is as above, Tyler Wilson and a few more have talent. Dennis Johnson is good but no field time for various reasons (injury) and we (MH) played him in high school at the State Championship. Im not sure hes the level of backs that we have had in the past. We really miss Broderick Greenes support in the backfield and they were counting on that to switch out in 2011, and then theres Kniles Davis out too. They popped Wingo in this year to a running back for his first real experience in college at that position, due to those injuries of others. Our receivers are hurt by injuries and no star power there either. I told my crew at the house Bama by 24 pre game which is why I was not watching it and did other things. Arkansas is just not up to potential and is too also short in areas to challenge an Alabama likely will be challenged by LSU. That may be the game of the year. I just think any college team is short in areas this year. Miles and Saban will both pull little quirk or trick plays out of their bags this season as they always do and if the teams prepare for those it will make a difference. Its just a developing year for the NCAA and SEC altogether.Last edited by Rick Pierce on September 25th, 2011, 3:21 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Rick still a lot football left to be played. Things may look totally different by Nov. Dont give up on your team just yet. If they beat A&M it will energize them and may finish out strong. They did last year. Alabama has a big challenge Sat at Florida.
About five more games and the Hogs will develop. Look at the roster and in two years were coming big time! The Hogs are still a really good team overall. Just not on the caliber of some others yet.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on September 26th, 2011, 12:22 pm, edited 1 time in total.
I dont know who could have beaten Bama this weekend, they played nearly a perfect game, and executed well. Petrino has no excuses,,,,class.http://www.wholehogsports.com/videos/2011/sep/24/5136/
Does Ole Miss not have a Kicker or was he injured and I missed that? They had many chances to points on the board while it was still within reach, yet they kept going for it on 4th down.
I wondered about that as well Jason. I dont know that they would have won, but I think a couple of times, getting 3 points via a field goal would have been a lot smarter than going for the 4th down play. But then, Im certainly not a football coach either. Roll Tide!!
Im just glad they lost. It was getting tough hearing the fans talk about a national championship. Pleeeeaaaazzzzeee. Reality check.
I expected Ole Miss to at least cover that opening 17 point spread.
Yeah I had to sit and listen to a lot of smack talk from Mississippi friends on FB. I never said a word. Till the end of the game. then I reminded them all why its not smart to do a lot of smack talking 13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods
I thought it would have been a better game………..with the same outcome. Roll Tide
Look at this way! It is just a game; no one was killed for the way they played, good or bad. Also, the Bama guy who attempted the field goal was pretty dang close to making 56 yard attempt. It wasnt even his job. Saban got out coached and the team out played. In fact, Saban did not look too upset when it was all said and done. I suspect he already has his bags packed and on a truck headed to Austin. I support Bama because I have been living here for 25 years, but am a Longhorn by trade. Oh well, lets all get ready for next year.
http://collegespun.com/sec/alabama-sec/ … ield-goals#They are even turning on their own,,,,,,,sad statement on their fans.ITS A FREAKING GAME PEOPLE !!! This kid will be labeled for life, sitting in an asylum yelling “laces out”,,,,,,,,, Get over it, it happens, and it was incredible to watch, admit it,,,,,,btw,,,,,Alabama didnt get beat, they pulled an Arkansas, and beat themselves. THAT isnt easy with that much talent.
Pulled an Arkansas..now thats funny..Bama won an sec game this year……….I think you need to stick towhat you do best and leave football to someone else…..Its a game in your area..not in mineNow go play with your buddies…
