Is there any easy way to run transducer cable from transom to dash?

Fish tape a second person and go through air vent at rear of boat.

You can get an inexpensive fish tape from harbor freight – I borrowed my neighbors tape, and also ran a doubled up section of Romex wire to use in the future if needed to run anything else

If youre removing the old ones, use them to pull the new ones through. Or, pull several sections of string through at one time using the old, then use one string to pull new cables through as you need them. When I sold my Sabre, I still had 2 or 3 strings tied up under the dash. The guy asked what they were for and I said, thats in case you ever want to install another unit at the dash, you can pull more cable through. lol13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods

When I replace the tranducer in my bilge on my 13 p2. I did pull the vent but did still get hung up. So I removed my shifter box which has on 4 screws in it. Inserted a piece of pvc pipe being fairly flexible run my old steering cable thru it hooked new td lead to cable.Smooth pull all the way to the shifter. Remove pipe . Like Red, I would always get hung on the shifter box. It did not matter whether I went transom to console, or console to transom, I would hang up there. Now i automatically remove the four screws and drop the box down carefully out of the way.of the way. Then I fish from there to the transom with the air vent off and it is easy. I just did it again last week when direct wiring my front graph to the battery.

Fish tape as explained earlier. Also found that as I pushed from the transom on the wire cluster and someone pulled at the console at the same time, this helped get through the snag at the shifter
