I have a 97 150 ERUDE that is turnning a 24 raker 5450 rpm. About the time I hit these numbers my motor shut down like a alarm. Is that the rev limiter? And might I say GOOD JOB MR. GABE LAWSON he worked my prop and man ! THANKS. WRC.
No, it sounds like a stator issue to us, that is reacting to the rpms developed, which is the amperage(voltage) going into the electronic controls. There was not a limiter that we are remembering on that engine. BCB
