I bought a new to me (00) Sabre and the rub rail has some damage on the passenger side. A few cuts and a couple chunks taken out. Also, it is the rope style and snags the inside of the cover getting the felt material caught in it, which is just annoying. I found the rubber replacement on the Cat store and have read a few posts regarding this issue and am trying to decide whether or not to go ahead with it. Has anyone replaced the old rope style with the newer rubber one? How difficult was it and how long should I plan for it to take? Would anyone advise for or against it? Do all the rivets need to be re-drilled. Any input is much appreciated. I have pics if anyone wants to see what Im dealing with. Thanks.
