Ive heard from two pretty good sources today that BCB has been talking to P E ,come on man dont let them control everything.I know money talks but let there be one family based company out there who cares about their customers , please !!!

This was posted earlier by Rick on either this board or another. There are no discussions between Platinum Equity and the Pierce Family. The Pierces did make a comment about telling them to add another zero if they were going to offer something. Though there have been no negotiations, period. If there were a valid offer, we do feel that the Pierce family would consider it, though no offer to this point has been valid in 40 years. We really dont know if they would sell it now. BCB Admin.
Dude Id need someone to write me some Valium if they sold it.But then again just about everyone has a price to walk away. I dont care what Rick says- they leave it and I am still gettin a bug boat as my second choice. Sorry BCB no post on any boards just a phone call from a good source ,but the customers are the last to find out and the deal has been done. Just wandering if we could get Rick to make a post/new topic on here that BCB is not selling to PE to ensure our love for his product.
Hmmmm….. Why would PE want to buy BassCat into their portfolio? This is not a knock at BassCat. BassCat is one company thats creating some tremendous energy with their new boats and lineup re-fresh. Of course the the Added Zero would be motivating.
Rick and Earl would make a hell of a boat together and call it a Hydra Cat ! Money does talk Flyswatter !
I dont know. Is it just me or does it seem like certain people like to stir the rumor mill pot with practically every post? No name, no location, just a user name that posts rumors” from good sources” with every post.The Pierces have a right to do what they want with the company…however, they have also always been up front with the “family members”. We have often heard how they watch the bottom line and have untapped resources that they have carefully managed even through tough times. With all the new offerings, the Eyra and Jag are the talk of the boating world…that doesnt seem logical.The only reason I could see the move would be to do early retirement, if no future generations wanted to stay in the boating industry. And with the internet JIGNPIG who can you trust . JIGnPIG read very slowly BCB comments that they would if the money was right. PIGman what does it matter to you where im from or what i post ,im in the loop from Alabama to TENN to KENTUCKY and across over to Arkansas with this industry. Ive been around for 25yrs in this industry and know most the of ins and outs of this buisness and most of the owners up until a few weeks ago ( PEs takeover ). Because of people like you our industry stays open just wait til the next time you go and buy a boat and you thought you got a deal . Remember there are some real dumba…. out there when they leave the lot, i hope you dont fall into that catagory. Remember i was rt about Triton and it happened and didnt have to read it(on Bassfan.com) and really knew a month b4 it happened. Remember im closer than you think to this industry and dont need to worry about name,location or from good sources. For all you know i might work for BCB or might have just bought a loaded 2011 FX 21 for 41,000$$ w 2 HD 10s and structure scan with the people i know or dealership i own. So if you dont like my post/comments, go get on FACEBOOK and cry to all your friends. JigNpig go get a box of maxis and chew on them and take them with you the next time you go to buy that new boat. FTD I dont care if youre the dali lamma. Thats inappropriate on two levels-Mr Jig is only setting out the concerns we all have in the internet world. Guy gets on here and lately posts rumors. What kinda response you expect dude?Its not disrepect to you man its a longterm BassCat owner being careful.Secondly- a “friend” in the business would never call out a “friends” hand in his own backyard. Thats usually some small potatoes player trying to roll like the folks that really affect an industry. Last I checked if most of us had a question like this wed actually contact Rick ourselves as opposed to putting a man we all respect deeply on the spot on the friggin internet.
