For those of you that are going to be attending the 2015 Owners Tournament on Sam Rayburn, Lance Vick has a Sam Rayburn “Boat Lanes” product that he sells that marks to boat lanes on either your Humminbird or Lowrance GPS unit. I dont have it yet but I do have the one he puts out for Fork and it is very accurate. Even though Im from Texas I have not fished Sam Rayburn much and plan on getting this installed on my Humminbird 1199 before the tournament. I asked a question about its accuracy on the Texas Fishing Forum and it got really good reviews.Just hopefully helpful information. Like I said, I dont have it yet.
In addition to the boat lanes download, I recommend getting a Lake Products map and looking at Bing Maps on the internet to see whats there at – guessing it is about 6-8 feet below pool on Bing – in the areas you think you may fish. Getting around the lower 2/3 of the lake is really not hard especially if the lake is reasonably close to full. Be aware that there is isolated timber here and there, and even the Lake Products map does not show it all. But it shows more than the other maps Ive seen. The boat lanes by Lance Vick is the real deal.
For the past 9 days I have attempted to contact Lance Vick at Boat Lane Chip company. I placed an order from their website and paid for it with paypal. They never acknowledged that I had placed an order and I never received a confirmation number. I have sent several e-mails to them and two phone calls which went unanswered. I have not had any contact with them at all. I had to file a protest with paypal so I could get my money back. I am telling everyone this so they dont get scammed like I did. Im still waiting on paypal to respond to my request. If anyone knows how to contact this guy, please advise.
From his website, (903) 312-0608 or 0609. The 0609 number is his cell. He is a guide on Lake Fork, and sometimes in the off season he does insurance type work, so it may be hes out of town. I have bought both hard copies of the chip directly from him, and downloaded the software from his website. Best I recall, the download was automated. I received an email with a code for the download almost instantly when I went through the checkout process. That was just back in October prior to the Texas Owners event. Im sure youll get it ironed out. Ive used Lance as a guide, and bought the chips from him, and had square deals each time. Good luck.

I would not have been worried about it in only 9 days, but that is just me.Dan
From the time that I bought the chip from his website up to today, I havent heard a word from him. No confirmation no shipping info and I have called both phone numbers and received no answer so I have left 2 voice mails with no results. I have also written 2 e-mails to both addresses on the web site and again, no response. I would think that someone with a business would at least check their mail box or return phone calls at least once a week. Its as if he has gone on vacation and left the store unattended. My payment went through and so far I have received nothing.
Same issue here. No confirmation and no chip. I has been over a week. Something is not right, as he is a stand up guy.
Lance will honor your purchase. He still guides and may be tied up.If you have any issues receiving the chips you have paid for we will be glad to intervene. He is a stand up guy to all our knowledge. BCB
I spoke to his wife today and she profusely apologized for being behind. Nothing more than hard working folks burning the candles at both ends and falling behind. She committed to getting everything pending shipped ASAP so we should see our product shortly.
Guys – as promised I received my shipping confirmation today, my chip is on the way!Tom
