The 2010 Sabre at Greenes has a friend of mines attention. Weve talked about Cats for a few years. He says it only has 60 hours on motor which seems low for a 2010 but I checked the pictures as best I can on a phone and it looks super clean.Anyone on here the previous owner by any chance or does anyone know anything about it? Friend would be coming out of a 21 express with 225 but Ive told him the Sabres are a blast to drive right Fly and the 150 will push it right along. It will fit 8 foot rods in locker I told him too. I also told him and the ride compared to his current rig will be much improved. A 21 Express is a nice boat for a “tin” rig. The 225 is usually an HPDI engine, though if its an older rig it might be a VMax carb. The Sabre would give him tremendous fuel advantages over that engine no matter if this is a carb or fuel injected engine. Ride of an Express in rough water we have no experience in. We have some on clean water and we really cant comment other than perhaps a dry ride.

Weve meet and talked on Champlain when its rough and hell tell you its a rough ride. He has a merc, cant remember if it is an opti.

I currently have a 2000 Sabre with a Mercury 175EFI, awesome boat its amazing how many 200s you can chase down. It will run low 70s with me and running 68-69 with tournament load. I really like the ride for the smaller boat. The handling on the boat is amazing and I think he will really enjoy the fiberglass instead of the floating can.

I hadnt heard any more from my friend for a several days after we exchange several texts about the Sabre. But got a three word text a little while ago from Jay “it tows nice”. I believe we have a new family member gentlemen as I dont see the boat listed any longer at Greens. I let him let him know to make sure and join here as this is his owners manual. I think he will like his Sabre FTD with a 150 a lot.
