OK…Boat gets GREAT fuel mileage!!! Cannot get her anywhere near rev limiter with a 23P trophy. Runs 54-55 with two and tourney load. It has seen 60 once. Jack plate is one quarter inch up from even. RPM is around 5300-5400 best. Turned a 24P Tempest up to 5600 and 57 mph with two guys, but lousy hole shot. Looking for suggestions.

How much stuff do you have in the front center compartments? Especially the the very front one.Try to put your heavy baits like lead and soft plastics in the compartments in the rear deck.Your nose needs to get out of the water more to relieve some drag.I have a few more ponies with my 150 HO but will see 64-65 all day. I am running a a 24 Tempest on mine also.

I have a standard Sabre w/ flippin deck and dual console. Mines a 150efi. I run a 23 Tempest Plus in the heat and 24 in the cooler months. Ive seen 64 on the limiter w/ the 23 and 66 w/ the 24. I only carry light items in the front boxes and use them as a day box. When I moved my tackle to the back and lightened the front box – it was worth close to 4mph. I do carry a big soft plastics bag that stays on the floor between the seats. I trim by the wp gauge and use very little positive trim. The hull will lift on its own and throws a very low tail when its running right.

It sounds right so we would dig further. New model years of Sabres are not slow on hole shot unless the power is sick.
