got home last night from fishing (30 mile drive) and went to plug in the batteries when I realized boat not centered on the trailer. it is offset by about 30 degrees. I know how it happened and my fault. When I pulled up from the ramp the eye hook was about 6 inches short of the roller and I backed down until boat floated and just winched it up, but because of the wind probably got pushed over and I did not notice My concern is about driving 30 miles back to center the boat. is there any sig risk. trailer pulled ok and tires seem fine. thanks for any advice.

You should be fine. Unless you have a ramp closer, you dont have any choice. Ive had that happen once in a great while. What I did before I headed home was to loosen the winch strap and the rear tie downs some. Lots of times the boat will shake back to where its supposed to be after you travel a few miles.Last edited by billius on June 8th, 2017, 9:01 pm, edited 1 time in total.

You dont really have to loosen the winch strap. Just loosen the rear transom straps slightly. Then find your first speedbump in your neighborhood. Yup – speed bump = hull/trailer alignment calibration facilitator. Just give gravity a little lee way to enforce the law. Then tighten it down.

The bunks are worst issue on this matter. They may get or be damaged from transporting cross ways. The boat is fine and the trailer also. We wild try to float it straight or hydraulic jack and block on the center of the pad, then let it down square.
