Need some opinions on what you guys think about the flippin deck. I currently have mine installed and thinking about taking it out is this a mistake our is it easier to get to your tackle with the deck out. I do not really have any one fish up front with me. How easy is it to remove and reinstall. Thanks

I took mine out 2 reasons why 1- I usually fish solo since Im off during the week 2- My knees just couldnt handle the high step up to the deck. It was easy to take out and I really like having the extra floor room and the access directly to the ice cooler. I dont miss it at all. Theres still PLENTY of room on the front deck !!!

Thats funny you guys want to take yours out, Im waiting til spring to get me one (bed fishing) I took a hook to the shin because I didnt have one in the boat. Me and my 13yr fishing partner were up front together and he reached back to cast and caught me instead of a fish, to top it off it was my brand new LC waketail (18.00) sitting in my leg for my first tx out of my cat.

i love my flippin deck i will never take mine out. but im always all over my front deck an i dont half to worry bout falling off unless i step pass the consoles

How is the deck installed. I think I will take it out and try it I can always put it back in if needed.

I cant imagine taking out the flipping deck on my boat… Everyone has there reasons but this is one of the best upgrades I added to my boat when I ordered my Sabre last March. Good lucking taking it out. Let us know how difficult it was to remove. Hope this works for you. misr12

Part of the O_G would prefer to have the cooler to step on. That is why a Pantera Classic has that step. They also prefer decks that are lower vs. the elevated models.

I ordered a flippin deck for my 06 Sabre after purchasing it new. I easily installed it myself with only a couple of screws that were furnished by BassCat. I read of one owner who takes his in and out and while the deck is out fills the screw holes with silicon and then knocks the silicon out to reinstall. I like the extra space on the front deck and I dont drop lures where I cant reach then. In addition, the cooler in the Sabre is too small for me and I can put an extra one under the flippin deck. I miss the easy step up to the front deck, but the extra space is well worth it.

Yes..the O_G group would be me I believe there were 4 nuts/bolts to remove the deck. Open your rod locker lids and look inside. Youll see where theyre located. It took me about 20 minutes to remove. I could have good knees and the largest flippin deck made and I still wouldnt want another angler on the front with me. Too dangerous and Im too clumsy. Either I would fall in or I would knock my partner in. Im old school and have never understood the whole 2 guys on one end of the boat thing….but I dont flip much either.

How much does a flipping deck cost? I have an 08 Sabre FTD, it would be nice to have more room.
