Topic: Sabre Reg with 115 HO Etec??????

BCB, Have you guys thought about how a smaller boat would run with a 115 HO/130 Etec? Im not saying to Re-invent the wheel or nothing, but after Eddie Senterfits 54mph Sabre LOADED with a reg 115 Etec, I feel that with the H.O. or 130 a guy could really have a nice running package with incredible MPG…..Rick/Ivan, do you guys personally like the V4? I see no reason why (some day) we get some Real Data on the F115 Yamaha, 115 Optimax Pro XS and the Stout 115 HO. Now if Rick says the Small packages are not selling throughout the country then who cares, but I think they are still selling. As BCB knows the V4 platform is a well designed marine engine with positive advantages compared to others, I just wish you guys would do some work with them, I know BRP is not quite on the top of the list for BCB. I had a guy ask me these questions, so thats why im asking, up north here folks love Evinrudes and Mercs, since theyve been built here forever its not as hard to compare them. I think they are putting 115s on the Sabre Day Tripper package. However the 115 HO or the 130 may drive the price up from the regular 115 and defeat the purpose of the day tripper as a value rig.

We do think that the 115 packages are selling, though there is more to this. We dont have an Explorer or 176 model that is price efficient to build. Those models are not anywhere near a Sabre and the Sabre is able to go from the 90 to the 175 on ponies. Price decisions there are the factor. The market on 115 models we do think is starting to evolve some, and they have done plenty of research on this topic lately. Though they are somewhat concerned with cost of the package and the production costs of the product. We seem to recall Rick making a rather enlightening statement about the facts of the 19 market and 18 markets and BCB or the dealers position, in the presentation at the dealer meeting. Which he mentioned is why they leaned on the 20 market. BCB Admin.
