Sabre Resale Question

Do you guys think a Sabre with a Yamaha F150 4 stroke would be hard to resale? I think this boat would run low 60s. With Yamaha going to the SHO 4 stroke VMAX maybe the F150 will become more popular. I know Yamaha is going to continue to produce the VMAX HPDI 150/175 for now. Opinions?

The resale is not going to be as strong for four stroke till they run out of those 2 stroke engines, which we do not know how many that they have. I wouldnt worry, hell if they will buy a BCB with a 150 HO then they will buy it with a Yamaha F150, one of the best 150s ever produced. Ive told the story of repowering a Healthy XR6 150 Powered Ranger with a 150 Yammie, we picked up 2mph on top end, a hair less hole shot, and the obvious, smooth,quiet,reliable, and oh yeah, smooooooth. Some say thats impossible, but I was there. I rather have the F150 over the HPDI 150, its too clunky sounding, ya know? I know your a Yammie guy so thats the only option, but see what Yamaha does or talk to Scotty to find out whats ahead for the ever popular 150 Lineup. Just take those Fugly decals off and get some Sportier ones made, just my 2 cents. Brannon 920-295-2069Your Signature …

Got the new boat itch again and was wanting a 4 banger. The HPDI 150/175 are here to stay for awhile. No plans in the immediate future to make those SHOs. The VMAX Carbed is done. I just like to trade/sell boats a lot and was thinking the F150 may cause some to look elsewhere on resale. It sure would be fun to get it set up and play with props though. Kind of a challenge to try and get it to perform like the 150 VMAX. I do have a new F115 I could bolt on but not sure if that engine is enough power.

i have an 09 sabre ftd with the f150 and people are crazy about it. i have had three cash money offers on it but i love it too. low to mid 60s and great fuel economy.

Are you running a plate? 6″ or 8″. What prop?

hole shot is realy good actually i am very pleased the prop is the current yahama recommended prop for this engine i will have to look to be sure and ideas on getting a little more out of it would be appreciated

scott at brech marine set it up on the boat for me. he would be glad to fix you up great guys to deal with there.
