Hi all, I have a 2006 sabre arriving shortly…. Cant wait! Im going to rig it with a 898 humminbird at the console and a 858 at the front. What are my best options for rigging these? I assume a ram mount on the 898 would be the best option… Ideally a could turn this to view from the front deck also. The 858 Im thinking I might install on the front deck right at the front in the middle. I worry a ram mount might not handle the rough weather I might have to deal with, so looking at the standard mount. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Pat

You would best be served to wait until you get your Sabre. Then you can better make your mind. Im not sure how you plan to mount the 858 on the bow in the middle? Ram mounts have their pluses and minuses and one of them is use in rough water.

Bass Cat has the trolling motor basin farther forward than other model boat. The pictures below are not of a Sabre, but a P2, P4, and a Puma FTD. The Sabre is not much different.

Order a mount from Sherms marine for the dash mount. It will not move and is an easy install

Thanks guys, I have only viewed the boat briefly once and didnt look at the sounder positioning… I think Ill likely install as per the pics above.! Pat
