Sitting here patiently waiting for the new QB. Getting very little, if any, info from local press. Will we see him in Silver and Black this year? at all? Thanks, John

Very strange situation, I think he feels he will not play much this year and is trying to get as much as he can- not much -just can get $30mm and wants $36mm guaranteed. I lost all feelings for these guys and just could care less about their bank accounts!!SAMBAYOU BANDIT

Used to live in Hattiesburg MS, and would go to see the Saints whenever possible. But the player salaries kept going through the roof, joined by the ticket prices, and I decided that college football was more than good enough for me. And even that is getting to be a bit pricey today. I went to N.O. to see the 1992 championship game where Alabama ripped Miami. Only way you could get tickets was to buy a package with 3 nights in a local 5-star hotel for an outrageous price. Tell me about it ..$$$$$ journeymen baseball players getting 2.5mil to collect pine splinters. Cant speak for the rest of you, but my wife and I wont see 30mil in our lifetime. (And breaking 1 mil in a career is a big deal in fishing) Better stop before I really start a rant … John

6 years, $60 mil with $32 mil guaranteed. And it is not enough. Includes a skill or injury clause. The skill part of the clause means if Russell is cut because he isnt playing well enough, he still gets the $32 mil. Anybody out there have money guaranteed by your employer if you dont do your job? I dont.
