Scotchguard New Carpets?

BCB I am the proud owner of a new 08 Puma and would like to know if I should scotchguard the carpets or are they already protected by the manufacturers protective coating? Also, many kudos to the entire staff at Basscat Boats for their continued dedication and service they provide us lucky customers! Thanks in advance, Don Adams

Mr Adams, ScotchGuard is fine! There is only a light soap solution on the carpet. The coating may not adhere without a dousing. Though we are not aware of how well ScotchGuard work on the polyolefin fiber that the carpeting is may from after it has been processed. The fiber should d3eter most stains, and we are aware of others using the guard on carpeting. Though we have not experienc3ed it ourselves. BCB
