Seat Bushing?

Hi-I have a 2015 Cougar FTD. Yesterday I noticed that the rear white seat bushing is sticking up about 1/2 inch. Can this be pounded back into place with a hammer and 2×4 as described in the installation instructions for a new bushing in the FAQ?Thanksdh

These are tight. It will take a 3 or 4 lb hammer. Just make sure the board lays good and flat with solid even blows.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

It has either pulled up from the seat post locking slot pulling on it when being removed. Or more likely it was frozen by water gathering through rain and freezing and forcing it up.

Or either the pedestal was installed too high like on my 2015 Puma and the whole pedestal sticks up a half inch off back deck…….
