Security system and Livewell Pump in/ out question?????

Why does some Bass Cat boats have 3 discharges at the back vs 2? How do you know if the boat has livewell pump in/out?I am buying a new Pantera IV from hide a way harbor in cottondale,al. That p4 only has 2 in the back. I spoke to a guy from Bass Cat on the phone and he said it does have pump in/out. Is this correct? The little round touch pad has 4 buttons. Acc, pump in, pump out, security. Does that mean it has pump in/out. I am just confused because I have heard different things and this is my 1st Cat. Also how does the security system work?????

Your dealer will explain the security system, this will not be posted on line. Or a call to BCB with your hull ID number and they will explain it to you. The 3 discharges on some and i may be wrong here, but one would be for the bilge, one would be for the automatic bilge, and the third would be for the pumpout. You may or may not have the pumpout, though if it has the security package then it should come with the pumpout as this was a premium model P4 (new P4 are not premium models and have options for this, so if boat is new id check to see what options are listed on the boat). Now if you have only two discharges in the back the bilge and the auto bilge may be tied together utilizing the same hoses/discharge for the pump out of the bilge water, and the 2nd would be for the pumpout from the livewell. Someone from BCB will be along shortly to verify…

jbizkit bcb does not discuss opertation of sec system on here. your dealer will go over that with you. as far as the pump out im not sure. tge boats that have 3 putlets on top have dyal bilge pumps as well as pump out. since it has the pump put switch i would have to guess ot has it and one bilge pumppete

My PII has 2 discharges and has pumpout.

Two = pump out and bilgeThree = two bilge pumps, and pumpout(prefered in big waters)

Jbizkit,Call Tim at Hideaway Harbor. He should be able to help you with the security system. Dbastetman hit the nail on the head with his response. Cant imagine a PIV without at least 1 bilge pump. Tim should also be able to help you with the pump in/ pump out. Should he not have your answers, you have found your owners manual. Most folks that post here will answer any question you have except for the security system for obvious reasons.By the way, that PIV is beautiful. The folks at Hideaway are really good to deal with. 15 months later, Darlene still contacts me to make sure we are enjoying our PII. How many dealers do that???Best to you,Carky Freeman
