Gentle reminder to participants… Coming from out of state – I reviewed the AR boating laws to make sure that we would have the proper equipment aboard should we get stopped by fish & game…. and something that we dont need here in TX that appears to be a requirement in AR is proof of insurance. For boats with > 50hp, AR requires that proof of insurance with $50k of liability be carried aboard. Of course.. most of us probably have a policy, but how many actually carry proof on board? I dug my policy out and will have it with me… others should consider this as well… just in case.good luck everyone!

Gee, We always had to carry proof of liability in cross state situations and in the tournaments we fish. Never thought of reminding someone.Thanks txFX

Same here. Once i get the paperwork it always goes straight in the boat, doesnt come out till i get asked or i put the new paperwork back in there.Good reminder though!

Not wanting to hijack tcTxs thread, BUT some states do not require a tag on the boat trailer. AL does not. THANK GOD!!. However, when going out of state, I keep a copy of the AL Marine Police guidelines in my possession. I have been stopped on more than one occasion for not having a trailer tag. The AL Marine Police guidelines have clearly supported my argument without any further discussion with law enforcement personnel.On a separate note, I hope everyone going to the OI this year has blast. Wish I could make it, but work is conflicting. I do have every intention of going to the SEBCOG this year. Best to everyone,Carky
