i have been hearing that the curado is being discontinued. does anyone know if the the chronarch will drop in price to replace the curado?

They are coming out with a new green Curado to replace the D series Curado, they are calling it an E model. They are more in line with what the D series shouldve been in my opinion…they are lighter (or atleast the same weight) instead of heavier than their previous model. I looked on Tackle Tour but couldnt find anything but here is a post about it on another forum: http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubb … ost2407445. So I dont think the Chronarch will drop in price and still be their high end model. This all coming from a Revo convert so take it for what it is worth. Judd Lasiter

Theres going to be a lot of changes from what Im hearing. We should know in the next few weeks. Im hearing the the 50mg is going away. The green curado might be coming back and prices will change. Everyone is pretty quite on the upcoming changes. Hang tight, well know soon!!

will the new ones compare in size with the 100 or the 200? why dont they just leave the currents ones and make the new ones too…too many options i guess. thanks for the info guys.

Shimano rep sent my dealer some pics and info on the new curado. It is green, dark green, the 200 will be about the same size as the 100d w/ more line capacity. Retail will be 179 I believe. I just bought a new Revo SX this past week and I understand why shimano is changing. That Revo is smooth and throws a mile and is about 50 bucks less. Just my opinion. That would be great if they get the weight back down to the original. Impossible for me to judge how good a reel is right out of the box. One of the best assest of the original Curado was its durability.
