Short Stop 50A breaker question

I have two 50 amp breakers for my trolling motor (short stop manual reset). The trolling motor is MG 82 lb 24 vlt. One of the breakers went bad. I reordered a couple 50 amp short stops and was sent two 30 amps. Im pressed for time, wanting to fish tomorrow. So can I use the 30 amp breaker, or do you think Ill blow it continuously? Should I go to West Marine and get an in-line fuse holder with a 50 amp fuse? Or figure out where I can get the exact replacement from a local marine dealership? Thanks Much. Jason

What is the voltage rating of the 30A breakers they sent? If you had 50A x 12V breakers before and were sent 30A x 24V breakers, you should be fine using them. 50×12=700watts of heat resistance 30×24=720watts of heat resistance Did I do the math right?

Pull one 30 Amp and put it in between the batteries, the remaining 50 amp you have on the main line to the trolling motor. This should work fine. BCB

Thanks for the replies. The 30A are 24V breakers as are the 50A. Ill give BCBs suggesting a try. – Jason
