I have a tandem axle trailer. I was coming home from the lake, I felt a jerk looked in the mirror and smoke was boiling out from the right side of the axel, thought the boat was on fire. When I got pulled over the tire was at a 45 degree angle, rubbed a hole in the tire. It got very hot, I had just greased the bearings, and it burned the grease so bad it looked like there was none in there. I dont know if it was a bearing or brake problem, but the fluid got so hot it blew both caps off the resivour. I am putting a new axel with all new parts brake calipers ect. I have2 questions. 1. With the brake fluid getting so hot should i change all the brake fluid. 2. What kind or brand of grease comes in the new bearings because i want to use the same grease when i add grease. Thanks.
