any of you guys ever fish Lake Kincaid near Alexandria? Never been on the lake, and will be spending 4th of July weekend there with my family, but I still have hopes of sneaking out and wetting a line for a little while. Hate to tell you but its a pretty tough lake to fish. It does have some double digits in it. My suggestion would be to fish a night if possible. It has several humps and ridges in the main lake as well as numerous points. Stay in boat roads unless you are in the main lake. Some pads in the back of some of the coves that has some decent frog action. Good luck and let me know if I can help you any

night time best bet as its relatively small and will be plenty party traffic. brush piles off creek channels with big cranks/plastics. usually can catch a fish or 2 right off Tunks restaurant dock as they chum it pretty good with oyster shells and point there is steep and sharp. They sprayed the lake some time ago but the grass should be coming back by now in the fingers. Good luck.

I agree with everything above. The lake has quality fish in it but its not a numbers place. There are brush piles and humps in the main lake that are good at night, and Id stay in the main lake at night if youre new there. There is some decent grass for punching down the second boat road through the old railroad trestle. Idle only past the trestle and spend 10 minutes to get further back to get to the good grass. A top water early will be good there also. Good luck –

i figured i wouldnt get much time, so i was gonna try to get out at daylight and chunk a topwater bait for a while til the sun rises, then try to do the same just before dark. kids want me to drag them around on a tube for most of the day.

Well use the tubing to map the lake. Most of the creek channels and drop offs are close to the dam. We went there yesterday and caught 5 nice ones on deep cranks and football head jigs in the main lake, fishing humps and ledges. We had no luck punching the grass further back. Good luck.
