Hi Folks,I would appreciate recommendations for the best mounting location to mount the transducer for my 1198SI. My boat is a 2008 Puma and it has a hydraulic jackplate. I would like to mount it to the plate rather than drilling holes and mounting it to the transom.Thanks,Scott

Mount it to the hydraulic plate and use a Transducer Shield Saver to prevent breakage. It will be cheaper in the long run as you can, and will, easily break the transducers.

its an ex-federation fisherman who invented these. good folks to deal with, too glad to see them finally so successful. ive had one on my trolling motor for years now, and they make good products.

I was going to make my own but not after looking at the items they offer!! And, Shirley whom I spoke with was great, she really knows her stuff!!
