When using identical HB units on dash, does it make sense for right-handed driver have the GPS screen on the right for adjusting during high speed runs and the Depth, down and side on the left? Curious what others have done. Also, is it possible to use existing in-hull and transom transducers for both units using some sort of splitter-cable?

From what I have experienced most use one unit strictly for GPS and the other for Sonar. You can turn off the function not being used in the unit. In that setup you would only connect the transducers to the unit you are using the sonar on. I do not believe that you can use a transducer to feed more than one unit, but if you wanted to hook both to Transducers for backup purposes rather than removing and reconnecting plugs on back of units you could put in a transducer switch. With the reliability of units today, that might not be worth the bother.
