I have a 8″ Slidemaster manual jack plate on my PIV. Does anyone know the torque spec for the cinch bolts on the side?

I would think you could Google a torque spec chart and torque them to the size of bolt.

Torque specs for side bolts on Slidemaster: tight, but not so tight you break the bolts are cant untighten!

A good estimate would be 65-70 pounds, though we set ours about 50 ourselves.

CAN U TELL ME IF YOU HAVE HYDRAULIC STEERING AND IF SO WHEN YOU TILT YOUR MOTOR DOES IT HIT THE CYLINDER ON THE STEERING . I HAVE A 6″ JACK PLATE AND WAS THINKING OF CHANGING IT OUT FOR THE 8″ IS THIS WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM SINCE THE PANT IV LIKES THE JACK PLATE LOW.

Been there done that. if you set the plate too low and tilt motor all the way, you will break the 90 degree fittings on the steering cylinder. I have mine set so as to just clear when full tilt, works pretty good. Another option is to install a limit switch then you can drop the plate as low as you wish. Just make sure you watch what you are doing when you calibrate the SmartCraft tilt gauge or you will break stuffgood luckjwt

It will give you more clearance to go 8″ plates.
