Topic: Slightly different bow graph issue

In reading the forum, I noticed the thread from BCB saying something about bow graphs shutting off when the big motor is cranked, and the relation to battery size.I have one of the new Margays. Humminbird 788ci HD DI on the console, and just a 728 at the bow.I cant seem to pinpoint any association, but my bow graph shuts itself off occasionally. It *typically* seems to happen two to three times at the first place I stop to fish. After that, it wont do it the rest of the day.Batteries have a fresh charge each outing. No problems cranking the motor. No similar problems with the console graph. And I havent noticed any correlation to the front graph shutting itself off if the console graph is on, or off.Thoughts??

Connections in the pivot base on the 728 mount. You can try lubricant or a slight bend on the pins.

I have the opposite problem with the bow-mounted 858 on my new Cougar. It refuses to shut down when I push the power button. The 898 on the console functions just fine. The only way I can shut the bow unit down is to turn the rocker switch off. Its not really a problem doing so, but Ive had eventual problems in the past when not following proper shut-down protocol with electronics. Is this going to be an issue for me? How can I correct this situation?I appreciate any help at all!
