Slow to get on plain 93 pantera

93 200HP Mariner magnum EFI Had tune up done they found lot of trash in in fuel filters replaced some clean others took it out to try it out shot out of the hole run 76.6 took out next day smoked a lot barely got out of hole would not turn over 5300 rpm I think maybe fuel hoses need to be replaced there 24 years old maybe it stopping up filters and starving for fuel again what are your thoughts

Almost certainly. Those pre-ethanol hoses had inner liners that would separate, break down, and cause lots of trouble. Replace from tank all the way to inside the motor.

This is a pretty easy do-it-yourself job. You can go to a local marine dealer and buy the hose, or you can order online (from, say, BCB). No idea what a dealer would charge. Probably anywhere from $150 to $500 depending on the dealer and time of year.

If the hoses arent the problem , there is a cone shaped fuel filter inside the fuel line from the high pressure pump to the pressure regulator . — ( curved hose on left front of engine ) — If its still there after all these years , remove and discard it . — Also has a 10 micron filter inside the pressure regulator that should be cleaned periodically . — Best of luck . — Hoss

If so, how much jackplate & what prop are you running?
