First a little question, are any of you towing with a new F-150 Ecoboost? I just got my TL totaled so I have decided to sell my trusty 2001 Super crew. I ordered a 2012 F-150 FX2 with a ecoboost and a 3:55 locker rear axel. Wondering if there are any other Eco owners and your thoughts.My partner and I wondered out for a few hours Saturday morning, This shows there are some nice fish in Southern California. Ya all be safe. Steve

Steve, you are making the next few weeks even more antagonizing. I will be out there in about five weeks and cant wait to get out of this winter stuff. No more highs in the 30s!Chaz- Chaz

My friend from Maryland was up last summer with his new Ford F150 with ECO Boost… All I can say is you wont be dispointed.. We hooked on to my 2006 Pantera IV , fully loaded and a full tank of gas. It will cruise easly with no effort at 75 and above.. From a dead stop I floored it and let off at ninety because it was still climbing fast.. About 20 seconds time with the boat to ninety.. Awsome engine though it remains to be seen how well the twin turbos hold up.. Mileage was averaging between 12 and 14 towing the boat.

Ive been a mechanic / technician for 40 years now , and my recommendation is to wait a few years when something new comes out . It may be the neatest thing since sliced bread , but it still needs time to be field tested IMHO .
