Mac,That is one sharp ride. Looking at a Cougar and another boat right now. Def a closer drive though. Checked out your vids on the boat as well. How do you like the compartment setup on it? Def setup to fish right away.. Nothing else needed. Just add water and go..Max
Thank you Max! Having owned a Pantera and some Pumas, the compartment layout was different. Not better – not worse than the other layouts – just different. I find that layouts are a personal preference issue. given the same amount of garage square footage and 10 anglers, I dont think anyone would lay out there garage identically. Thank being said – I grew accustomed to this layout very quickly. Tackle boxes are centered mid-boat laterally and medially for great balance. And this hull is simply the best riding cat Ive ever driven with the only exception being the Jag. It actually runs better with 2 feet of chop on the water – really! And yes all one needs do is add rods, tackle and water. The boat is also equipped with a Hydrowave, Lowrance 3D module and Lithium Pro batteries. I did not consider giving those away with the boat (at least not yet). Because at this price I would be giving them away. Im only selling to buy a new one. Thanks for checking out my videos of the walk-thru and performance on the water. I hope you find the cat you are looking for!
Hey Mac,Been surfing the web on everything I can find on the Eyra. Everyone def likes the ride of the Eyra. Great rough water riding platform. Watched Steve Kennedy fish out of his. More room up on the front than I thought. Really need to see one in person. At present time I cant leave the area due to having Jury duty until 6-30 which puts my boat buying on hold. I believe the reason that I am leaning towards a Cat is because of Rick Pierces youtube videos. He really breaks it down on how they are made and all the extra “Attention to detail” that is put into making a Cat. I have looked at different boats the past 18 months and most are very nice however, when I saw a Cougar last summer and how everything was put together and how that trailer was made (Bullet proof) I was really hooked on the idea of a Cat.You looking to buy another Eyra?Hope all is good and with any luck, no one will realize what a great deal is in front of them and it will be still around at the end of the month.. ha ha.Have a great day,Max
I have been to four bass boat manufacturer to see for myself exactly how boats are constructed. Bass Cat was one of the four. The most eye opening revelations were the quality, amount and placement of materials. Rick has a saying “there is a reason for everything in a Cat”. When you see this for yourself – it hits home and you look at other models thru a different set of lens. Forty years of dock talk about this boat vs. that boat – went straight out of the window! Most guys are just kicking tires right now. but the end of the month is not far away. I think its a great deal – heck the cover is $1,500 by itself!
I can personally vouch for the seller. You WILL NOT find anyone more meticulous about maintenance and upkeep on his boat. You will be getting a boat as close to new condition as any on the market. If I had the cash, I wouldnt hesitate to buy this rig. Good luck selling!
I love your Eyra that you have listed. Any ideas on cost or ways to have it shipped? I live in Atlanta.
I have not checked but if you are serious I will do the leg work.
For himmelrr,Using a service called https://www.uship.com I received an average quote of $1,909.00. An acquaintance of mine here in CA purchased a Bass Cat Sabre from Florida and had it shipped here and the cost was $1,500.
