Okay, I did something stupid….I left my 2008 cougar outside for the weekend while I changed the oil and serviced my vehicles in my garage. Well it rained over the weekend, which wasnt a bad thing but since I forgot to take the plug out, things got messed up. Monday when I went outside to put the boat back in the garage I found the boat full of water up to the seats. I turned the bilge pumps on via the control panel on the dash and it made a strange noise and wouldnt turn on. I pulled the plug, drained all the water, used the shop vac to get all of it and then put fans over the boat to dry it out. I pulled the compartment lid above the gas tanks and battery off and put a fan over it to dry it out. I finally got it all dry and got the smell out of the boat and so far as i can tell everything is fine except the control panel on the dash. All the buttons work when you push them except the bilge and the horn button. What can I do to fix it? Is there a fuse box I can check ( i cant find one) or a breaker box somewhere or does this mean my dash panel is messed up? also on a separate note I still cant get my bow finder to stay on, it still keeps cutting off…yes the battery is good, its a brand new group 31 optima….any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks for the help…John
