Its been a while since I have been on the board. I hope everyone is doing well.I have a buddy that is doing search and rescue with a specialty for water recovery.He is in the market for some new graphs.Any suggestions?

If hes looking for down scan and side scan we would suggest Lowrance if hes techy. If hes not techy the the HumminBird side scan is as good as any. Their down scan is not quite where Lowrance is, though Side Scan is great.

If hes gonna search on a boat with enclosed cockpit Id consider large slave LCD monitor too. Have seen usace boats with that for survey. Awesome imagesC.O.D. Jr. III

Thanks BCB, somewhat techy but not overly techy. I believe he is currently using old HB technology as in 997si.Are menus and windows similar on the HBs?Any certain models better on HB or Lowrance? Last edited by dblplasabre on January 30th, 2015, 3:45 am, edited 1 time in total.

Not on the Onix, all new system with touch screen technology. Similar looking and 50% familiar to 997SI units.

The 360 is a good choice though we are not overly sold on that clarity in technology.
