Hi, Since I will be at Lake of the Ozarks (Osage River and Glazie Arm) this weekend, is the spawning still on or is it over? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We stayed near the dam for a few days a couple of weeks ago, and it looked to us as though it had barely started then.

Water temps are 67-70 degrees, and water clarity is colored up nicely.

Will the Glazie area be crowded this weekend? Which areas should I focus on?

Gary has it right. I fished a small jig last week along with a smoke/purple flake tube around the 13 mm. with good results. The Glaize will be crowded unless there is rain. The spawn is continuing as you go towards the dam. I would try Chimney Cove and then Bucks Creek for spawners. I saw many good fish and my largest was a 6 pounder. If you are only catching males, back out and fish deeper for the ladies.

The back of the Glaize not bad. A lot of wood in the Buck Creek area if you like shallow flipping.There used to be a boat house & gas pump there many years ago.No it is not over. Some will spawn into the 2nd week or so of June.
