WOW it was cold here this morning. I met a couple of buddies at Lake Fork this morning because one of them wanted a ride in the FTD and he is a guide so our days getting to fish together are limited. We always have a blast regardless of the fishing and it is a good thing because today was tough. We knew when we got to the boat shed this morning and the tempature was 28 degrees it was going to be tough. We caught 2 fish one rat and I caught this fish that was 23 1/2 inches long and had a 10lb head with a 4lb body, it weighed 5.6lbs. This was the first time that I have worn all of the new BCB suit (including the fleece liner) and it is AWESOME to say the least. I already told you how cold it was but I only had on Under Armour cold gear, a long sleeve T shirt, the BCB fleece sweatshirt and the coat with Under Armour bottoms and blue jeans. The only things that cold cold were my nose, feet (didnt put on my boots ) and my hands. I tried the new Under Armour gloves and I wasnt impressed. They help but they dont keep them warm and for what we pay for them they shouldve done better in my opinion. Anyway here is the fish: I hope everyone has a good week! One nice fish anyway. Looks like from the picture that at least the wind cooperated somewhat. Glad yall had a good time. Joe Murray
Judd, nice looking fish. I have been under the weather the last week or I would have been out in my new BCB suit as well. I just got mine and really like it. If enough of us get these suits in the DFW area BCB might want us to do a photo shoot for them Once I get over this “crud” I will definitely be back on the water! I have some new SealSkinz Chillblocker gloves coming. Ill let you know how well they work for fishing. They are pretty thin an waterproof and are suppose to be some of the best gloves for winter fishing. Ill share my thoughts when they get here. Thanks for sharing the picture. Great looking fish Judd!!! What did you get the fish on? Was it in the grass? I caught all mine on Fork last Thursday in 6-10 foot in grass.God Bless, Stephen
Thanks guys. I would definitely like to hear about those gloves Mike. Steven this time of year I will spend almost all my time throwing rattle baits. That fish came on a 3/4oz Diamond Shad and was in timber but no grass. The other fish came on the Red Eye Shad but it was a rat and it did come from the grass. It was tough to say the least! You going Thurs? JL
Judd, here is a link to the gloves I have coming in. http://www.danalco.com/htmls/products/i … loves.htmlJmtfrisco, Texas
