Can you tell me the spindle size on my PIV 05 trailer. I want to carry a spare Hub and am not sure what size to get.On our recent trip from Memphis to Toledo Bend on a Sunday with 5 boats, 2 had bearings go out. One of the boats had a wheel come completely off. Later in the trip the shackles on his axle broke off. We made it to the lake by limping in. One of the boats (Ranger) on 3 wheels from Texarkana. Fortunately someone had a spare hub (Ranger). Sure made me more aware of the need. Thanks, Bill Hawkins

Should be a Quality hub, but i would contact [url=mailto:[email protected]][email protected][/url] and ask them to ship me a spare hub, just to make sure it has all the right marine double lip seals, etc,,,,, A parts store probably wouldnt know that..

NO! Thats a UFP hub. We dont have near th bearing troubles other barnds have and dont use a grease gun on them. Follow directions on the FAQ section orhe Owners Board and you should be fine. Yep, just repack your bearing about every 3 or 4 years depending on mileage and you should be fine. When you repack bearings check the spring shackles and bushings along with your brakes at the same time.

Thanks for the advice on Hub, bearings, etc. One more question: I have Group 27 batteries in my PIV. Will my battery holder accept Group 31 batteries? I think there is a spacer there but I cant tell without removing my batteries.
