What s the best fuel additive on the market or whos had the best experience? Had water in the filter this weekend and had to change the filter, and I fish generally once a week, so the gas didnt have time to set up. Thanks in advance.
I use a product called Sea Foam. Use it in my boat, my truck, my lawn mower (lol). Seems to work better and do more than Stabil does, at least IMO. In this area the only place I can find it is OReilly Auto Parts.
I have been using seafoam for my boat for over 8 years and have not had an issue, One set of spark plugs on the 150 optimax in 8 years! On my 250XS, same thing. I have 80 hours on the motor and runs great and never had a problem. Highly reccomend seafoam. Here in California we have had ethanol in our fuel for years!
I was on a forum recently that had a person that worked at facility that claims they make fuel additive products specific for two of the three OEMS and said Stabil would be soon adopted by these OEMs due to Stabiil Blue protection from ethonal. Sorry I cant give more specifics. Maybe someone else can comment.. misr12
