have a 2010 puma ftd. was out saturday and about 5 minutes out of the launch my motor died like it was out of gas. opened the back hatch and the bulb was sucked in flat. switched to the other tank and the vacume instantly released and I went fishing the rest of the day. i am guessing the vent for the tank is plugged? where is the vent for the tanks? any ideas?Thanks

Sounds like the hat on the valve is 180 reversed. Of course it could be something in the tanks stuck (sucked) on the pick up tube. We doubt its the hat reversed as a 2010 surely had both tanks used by now. We are not thinking vent is the issue.

Never had the problem before and both tanks have been used numerous times. It was close to freezing that morning I was wondering if the cold temps and wet weather might have froze up the vent? i guess its possible that something is in the tanks to plug it up. It is also possible that there is moisture in the tank pickup, line, or bulb that froze.

A little water in the tank can freeze up the pickup tube, that was a problem with the old portable steel tanks in winter in my old 85 Phelix when I would go up in the winter on Pomme De Terre and other lakes in Missouri years ago.
