Another silly question from a first time bass boat owner. Going through the boat trying to learn as much as i can about it was wondering where is the reservoir for the hydraulic steering.?

There isnt a reserve.sorta like a sealed system. The fluid is moved from one side to the other when turning. I could figure out where it was at either when i was going to swap from cable to hydrolic. BassCat told me they prefer cable steering so I stayed that way.

There should be a cap under your windscreen. This is where you would service the system. Check Teleflex website for service instructions.

I assume when you say windscreen you are talking about the windshield and the filler hole is just in front of the steering wheel?

If you have tilt helm steering, then you have a remote fill cap. If you have a solid shank non tilt helm system, then you have a cap on the helm. DO NOT overtighten those caps and bust an o-ring as it will leak oil into the floor of your boat and eat the carpeting up. BCB

How do i tell the difference between tilt helm steering and solid shank steering?

ok im an idiot. Tilt for tilting the wheel. I apologize been a rough weekend wacked a stump with the lower unit been flustered ever since.
