I just got an upgrade for my 02 Sabre, a HDS7 with the Total Scan transducer. I know a lot of people mount the transducer to their jackplate, but I dont have one. I dont want to drill holes in the boat, especially if I end up getting a jackplate. I was looking at the Stern Saver. The concept makes sense, but Im not how well it will hold up with the big ol Total Scan hanging off of it. Anybody out there use one and if so, what are your thoughts?
