The guy who on the FLW Open at Sam was using a swimbait rod with 16 lb floro and was hitting 20+ feet. As for the reel a high capacity low gear ratio reel will work, like the new Lews Super Duty Speed Spool. Tackle Warehouse is where I got how long it is and they say the 6XD is 3″ long, so I say they measuring the bait differently from PA picture.
