Im currently using a St. Croix Avid MXF 68″ for my jerkbait rod. I dont see a lot of rods marketed as jerk bait rods. Im think Id be looking for a 66″ to 68″ rod rated for 1/4 to 5/8oz baits and 8-15 lb line. Any one have a rod hat you really like for jerkbaits?

I use mainly St. Croix Premier, Avid, and Rage rods. But, the rod I preferred for jerkbaits last winter, mainly Suspending Rogues and Spro Minnows, was a Skeet Reese Jerkbait rod. 68″ Med-Fast, 8-17lb line, 1/8-1/2 oz lures. Only bait I throw with it. Excellent rod for that application. My wife wont be getting it back.
