HELLOW ALL,HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE SUPER DASH BP100.SEEMS LIKE IT WORKS FINE BUT JUST WONDERING IF IT IS GOING TO GIVE ME PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE.I HAVE A 1995 P2.

http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/2163. This is old, and Southwest Electronics no longer services them….BUT, sometimes BC has knowledge of where a replacement could be found. They are very reliable. My first one was on my new 97 PII. I sold the boat in 2006 and everything worked fine. It was a BP101. I sold my boat in 2006, then wound up buying a used 1996 Eyra in 2007. It has the BP100 super dash. These are very good units, basically the grandfathers of the SmartCraft instrumentation used by Mercury today. BC notes that a lot of the technology was shared with the building of the SC system. I had no problem buying a boat with a super dash, or even a used boat with one. You have a very advanced system, and it works. There have been very few issues over the years. Just follow the maintenance outlined and you should be fine. Think of the variable aerator/recirculator settings you can program, barometric pressure readings, air temp/livewell temp, and of course, an alarm system.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

I have a BP101 and everything works except for the MPH and that is because the gearcase is clogged. Since mph gauges are nothing more than something pretty to look at… It dont bother me. Super Dash was ahead of its time. I really like the livewell temp, compass, and barometer. BCB I have the surface mount and thru hole assembly equipment to build these providing the parts are still available – For replacment purposes.

I have a 96 P2 w/bp100, most everything worked on it until last year. Started having some issue with it as far as instruments not working properly. My mph gauge never worked right (I have had the pick up line cleaned out several times), but that didnt bother me I mainly watched water psi and rpms. But this winter I decide to upgrade to the A-10 dash. I would say if your BP100 is working properly, keep on using it!

Actually bought my Eyra from a friends family. He was the original owner. Unfortunately, cancer got him. We first met when he joined the fishing club that I helped start locally. I was the only BC guy till he came into the club. At the time he was running an older Pantera. He bought the Eyra in 96, and I got a new PII in 97. Eventually, I sold the PII in 2006, too many activities and not enough time to use a big boat. Then in 2007, decided to get back into a fiberglass, and BC was the only way to go. I updated and restored the boat in honor of the original owner.
