Superdash Conversion

I am Really thinking hard about ordering the retrofit dash for my P2 . But how can i tell which one i have there now BP100 or BP 101 . has anybody done this well im sure some have but how do i tell which one i have now and also how much of a problem to get the wiring all right >?? My superdash is working but i have no lights in it and i cant see at night without holding a light up to it very annoying . any suggestions tips etc etc etc

Actually, I recall reading a post within the last few weeks about the backlighting for the superdash and being able to replace the bulbs. If the dash is working, I would not necessarily replace it if I could just replace the lighting portion. Thanks i talked to BCB and they said it was sealed and could not replace the lamps there isnt any way to get to them i could see . Thanks for the links i got those but they both look the same to me so i was wondering just what is the difference in them . I have seen the 1996 models that have the new dash on them but i wonder just how hard it was to do it and the wiring how is it. I think that i would better myself by adding the new dash but i kinda want to know what im in store for !!! Thanks for all the help i just bought this bought in april and i love it !

My guess ia a 92 has the BP100, not that it matters.I retrod my BP 101 and had my dealer do the analog panel install.Service at BC can assist you with getting the right analog panel and gauges shipped to either you or your dealer.Theyll need to know your engine make/model so as to provide the right wiring harness.There are additional gauge options and a boat alarm option as well, just a few extra $$.Good luck!

thanks fishmagnet i looked at the install online doesnt look to bad to me but i was wanting to chat with somebody that actually did it and try to save me some money by not taking it to the dealer .

I replaced the dash in my 95 PII. It was not difficult. Depending on the additional guages package you get is how many holes you will have to drill in the dash section where your key is. The rt side replacement was easy. You may have to bend some of the braces on the back side of the guages to secure the fit. There is instructions on this site just go to the home page and look up the dash conversion and you will see it. All of the wires are color coded so there will be no mistake in connecting them. Took a couple of hours.

When you call BCB parts dept. to order the conversion dash kit they will know what you need from the year of your boat..I have done several and they arent too bad at all… Sherm

Hey Guys Im new to the Cat family. I bought a 99 pantera III and I just love the boat. I too had problems with the super dash and just converted over to the analog gauges. I havent spoken with the factory guys yet,but I cant get my recirc pumps nor my aerator pumps to come on at all. Also my nav lights wont work, but only with the front switch on. I connected every wire as they are colored coded and Im curious to know if anyone else has had this problem
