Switch? next to TM Pedal

Why have a switch right next to TM on Caracal and Cougar FTD and I guess Puma to disable trim buttons on the bow? Went to my dealer, Martys Marine, today and none of us could figure out the reason.

Thats it! So those that step on the bow switches can disable them.
