Tail light replacement help

I am replacing my trailer tail lights (1 partially blown, 1 to match). I heard that an adhesive should be used to make sure they dont work out while driving. Question, should I use RTV silicone or marine silicone? Also should I just place it between the actual light housing and the rubber bot or between the boot and trailer or all 3? Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I used marine silicone. I had that issue with my previous boat. I used it in all three places. I lost two of those Glo Lights on my 09 Cougar FTD trailer, until I used the silicone. I have a Glo Light out on my 2015 Caracal trailer right now, ordered a new light. I will use the silicone again.
