Topic: Talon bracket on PII

I am fixing to get a Talon and did not know which is the best bracket, has anyone installed one on a PII yet? I plan on mounting to Slide matser jack plate.

Call Rich at Hydrilla Gear he is making some bad a$$ brackets for the Talon and should be able to help you.

You need yo wait, they are still working on a mounting bracket that will get the job done. I had the first talons installed by BassCat and I have been waiting for several month for the one Rick and 2 other approves of. I know this is not what you want to hear but I dont want anybody to make a mistake and put one on that will fall off do to excessive movement like I did.

If youll call Rich he is already making a plate that will do the job. If youre not in a hurry Im sure MK will have a good one soon. Go to hydrillagear.com to get Richs contact info.

This is the new one on Ricks boat, it a prototype, unless they look like this one its not the new bracket.

That looks 1/2 as thick as the power pole bracket, and I know some guys on BBC had gone to using the PP bracket on their Talons.

It is equivalent to the PP bracket thickness and a dual support with two arms.

Why arent the using a solid 1 piece mount? It seems like every place that it bolts together would be a weak point.
