That depends on the condition as the tell tales are used in many ways. They generally use that area to evaluate conditions on boats which request work and often they are unaware this area exists, though with this Owners Board the tell tales are becoming more known. They also can be used to evaluate a used BCB for condition from usage. If the tell tales are Z, X or Y on pattern then they can determine operation patterns. They evaluated an early August 09 production 2010 model this year that had no tell tale issues until spring of 2013, and more than plenty of hours. The knew the boat fairly well, obviously the tell tales didnt break on their own four years later and the outcome was determined by using all avenues.
